Custom Gaming PC Builds in Somerset — Honest, Local, No Jargon
I’m Dave, and I build custom gaming PCs and high-performance desktops from my workshop in Combe St Nicholas, for customers right across Somerset and the South West, including Ilminster. Every build starts from £550, with no upper limit — I’ll spec it around your budget and what you actually need it for, using only quality components, never the cut-price parts that cause problems two years down the line. I build and test every PC myself before it leaves the workshop, and you can collect it in person or I’ll deliver it set up and ready to switch on.
If you need a computer for office work, business use, workstation tasks or another purpose, see the custom PC building service.
What Goes Into Every Build
Here’s what’s included as standard, whatever size of build you choose:
CPU & GPU Matched to You
Right processor and graphics card for what you’ll actually use the machine for — gaming, editing, work, or all three.
Quality Components Only
No bargain-bin parts. Every component is chosen for reliability, not just the lowest price.
Fast NVMe Storage
Every build comes with a fast NVMe SSD as standard — no spinning hard drives slowing you down.
Cable Management & Cooling
Tidy cable runs and proper airflow, so your PC stays cool, quiet and easy to work on later.
Built and Tested by Dave
I assemble and stress-test every PC myself before it goes out the door — no outsourced assembly line.

This Build, Start to Finish
Here’s a build I put together recently — RTX 5070, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 — from unboxing to the finished machine. Every build gets the same care and attention, whatever the spec.
ASUS Prime RTX 5070 OC, fresh out of the box — only quality components make it into a CWC build.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D installed — paired with the RTX 5070 for serious 1440p gaming performance.
ASUS ROG Strix B650-A motherboard fitted — the foundation of a clean, white-themed build.
Corsair RM750e fully modular power supply — quality power delivery, no cut corners.
240mm liquid cooling installed with neat cable routing — every build is finished to the same standard.
The finished build — RTX 5070, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5, ready for collection.
Custom RGB lighting tuned to the client’s preference — every build is finished exactly how the customer wants it.
